that's what she said
When Courtney knocked her guitar out of tune on her way to the stage in her ninth grade talent show and sang Bobby McGee a Capella, after a very failed tuning attempt, she knew she was destined to find a group of musicians that were much better than her, allowing her the mindless freedom to wail. Though her toughest critics (Harry and Finn Nippert, age three) say that sometimes mama sing too loud, there is nothing that Courtney enjoys more than singing her heart and soul out and releasing all the pain and suffering that life kindly has to offer again and again.
She is a Knox County native, and is thrilled to be back in the area with like -minded musicians and souls after spending her youth and beauty in Los Angeles, acting. Though she stayed busy in the acting scene during her decade on the West Coast, nothing is as artistically rewarding to her as singing with Six Miles to Nellie. An honest lover of life, Courtney appreciates that life always allows for new beginnings and pathways if you open your heart, get honest and allow your dreams to change.
